For the few of you fortunate (or unfortunate?) enough to have seen the very first version of this site that I put up back in April of this year, I sadly have to inform you that I have discontinued the concept.
The first version of this site was a passport. It was cute and had a cover, an identity page with a machine-readable zone, and even little visa stamps for projects. I still like the idea and concept of it, but I did not like what it did to the content — specifically the kind of content I want to have on my website.
A metaphor that strong makes every new thing you add answer to it, and forcing things in would have turned the site into more of a costume. The entire point of this site is to show what I do and to express myself.
So welcome to v2. It's simpler so that the site itself does less of the talking, and the work should speak for itself.
What is next
Expect the site to fill up with all kinds of projects and thought pieces. I refuse to be defined by a single identity, and I want this site to be a reflection of that.
